-JULY 4 - The Devil
In this deck The Devil is a comfussing card. In most decks this card would refer to materalism but not this deck. "The Devil in this deck is not evil - only illusive. The Devil essentially refers to the main principle of all magical work - the unity of opposites." That statement - the unity of opposites - is the key for me. This I think is again referring to this spiritual revival or awakening that I am searching for. My re-researching Christian Witchery.
-JULY 5 (our anniversary) Seven of Pipes (Counting Coup)
I figured today being our anniversary I'd have drawn anything but this card. However this card stands for a strong connection, a power to oevercome and that suits us well! Weve managed to stay together all these years and I look forward to staying with Hubby for the rest of my days and for the eternity to come.
-JULY 6 (my anniversary - lol) Seven of Pipes (Counting Coup)
Two days in a row. So I dug a little deeper. Physically this card stand for sucess against great odds. We certainly have that. Just before our wedding my MIL's regular reader told her that we wouldn't make it. We had lots of problems but were still together. Emotionally its personal security - beliveing in yourself.
Again this suits us well for we've managed to stay together through it all and as long as we continue to depend on eacxh other we will do well in lifes struggles.
-JULY 8 STRENGTH
I love this card in this particular deck espically. It represents a quite strength. The physical strength is secondary. This card represents the strength that come with age and wisdom - at least that's what I'm seeing today.
I drew a complimentarty card as well - the Warrior of Blades - this card has lots of movement on it - heck you can even SEE the wind in the trees! Active and skillfull
Combining the two - I must be skillful in the ways I use my strength to keep the pieces falling together in the way they should.
I just realized that the feeling I get from the Strength card is very similar to what I asked for in the chant I used over the cucumbers!
-JULY 10 Maiden of Vessels
This card - "unsurpassed as a helpmate" reminded me to stand behind Hubby and support him - no matter how mad and upset I may be with him at the moment.
-JULY 13 - Maiden of Vessels
Again??? This concerns me and brings questions to my mind as I"ve (just recently) decided I need to return to work. Is this the right decision? That's what this card makes me ask myself. How could it be the wrong decision? The Maiden of Vessels is the unsurpassed helpmate. What would be of more help right now than a second income?
-July 15 Nine of Shields (Thunderbird)
A good sign for the coming day.
My SIL called and said one of her patients had a trailer to give away. We're going to have a look Sunday - its possible we could turn ours into a double wide! AND there was extra money in Hubbys pat to cover his travel expenses. That really helped!
-July 17 The Devil
As I've said before not your typical materilist meaning, and it's a hard one for a daily because it really takes the surronding cards to interpute it. But I see it as a good sign today. Its the middle sons BD and friends are coming over to camp out. Myabe its just a warning of the temptations of youth and my son, being who he is, this tells me just to keep an extra special eye out for him.
Just realized this is card #15 and my sons 15th BD.
-July 20 The Stars
Funny cause when I pulled a card our of RW deck for Sister Air I turned that deck over and The Star was showing. Inspiration is what these cards stand for and I believe my spiritual inspiration is returning to me. I want to do and use m;y craft - it had faded for awhile - now it is returning - bringing and showing balance.
-July 22 Madien of Pipes and Five of Shields (cultivation)
The reason for two cards today is that they kinda stuck together. They had a message for me, the two of them together. The maiden shows confidence and the 5 of Shields shows cultivation. My first inclination about these cards was that I was to lead my son through his learners permit test. But this was wrong and I realized it not long after I put my cards away. These two cards are showing me that I must have (regain) confidence in myself if I am to achieve my goals and find a job that I like and that is right for me.
-July 23 Nine of Blades (Polygamy)
This card warns of self-made traps and the 9 of Swords in the RW deck tells of worry. How true. I see now that even more clearly the meaning of yesterdays cards.
-July 24 Eight of Blades (Capitve)
In general this card says that balance must be maintained in order to achieve strength and harmony. In the RW deck it is a reminder that ther are options, even in the most restricting situtation. I see this as a pep talk. Not to sink into a "woe is me" way of thinking. There are jobs out there. Finding the right one and then being hired is the trick. I AM NOT GIVING UP!
-July 25 Warrior of Blades
I see this agian as a pep talk. That I must get in there and work for what I want. Have courage. Pitch myslef and let potential employers know just how good I am. Fight the Good Fight
-July 26 The World
(My spirit animal is the Turtle) I'm planning to try to get on at teh Civic Center today and I pull this card! I think this is very promising as it can represent an end as well as a beginning. (A completion) Can also show struggle and hurdles ahead. But new jobs always bring that. I'm excited!
-July 27 The World
again??? I'm all smiles
Well after today spent with the specialist, I think this was pointing at the changes in my world. My son has ITP_. This will be a big change for him. Deciding if football is worth steriods. Getting a second opinion. Other sports for him to get involved in. My thoughts are swimming in a slew.
-July 28 Seven of Cups (Vision Quest)
Looking for inner tranquility is a bit tough right now. But I can see where this would be important as a guidance card at this point.
-July 29 Eight of Pipes (Smoke Signals)
To watch for some news - to receive a message.
Received 2 important calls - one for an interview at the civic center. The second from the doc saying that basically my son is OK - still some things we have to do but basically everything is ok.
July 30 Ace of Shields
This is the day of my interview, and so I'm excited!
I thought the interview went well. I thought they were gonna hire me on the spot. But as of Aug. 5 I even though I did call to follow up I still haven't heard from them.
SUMMARY
I pulled 19 cards.
3 Shields
4 Pipes (one Maiden)
3 Vessels (the Maiden I pulled twice)
3 Blades (one was the Warrior)
6 Majors - The Devil (pulled twice), Strength, Stars, and The World (pulled twice)
I did this a little different this month - since I actually got around to pulling several cards this month. (19 as a matter of fact!)
I layed them out, one by one, in the order they were pulled for the month. For the cards that were pulled twice - they stayed in the spot from where they were first seen. I did this to see if I could put together a story.
I saw change in the first few cards, worry in the middle and success toward the end. This seems to sum the month up fairly well - except I'm still waiting for the success part - maybe the cards are pointing to success in the upcoming month of August. I can actually feel it though - success.
